Natabua High School and Jasper Williams High School have successfully retained their respective Boys and Girls division titles at the Lautoka/Yasawa Zone.
Natabua won the Boys division with 33 gold, 16 silver and 15 bronze, Saint Thomas High School came second with 8 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze while Tilak High School managed to collect 5 gold, 9 silver and 10 bronze for third place.
Jasper Williams High School took out the Girls division with 40 gold, 17 silver and 11 bronze, Natabua was second with 4 gold, 11 silver and 10 bronze with Saint Thomas High School finishing third with 2 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze.
Natabua’s Nemani Mudrelagi who won the Senior Boys 100 and 200 metres event was the best Male Athlete while Jasper’s Salote Barivilala who won the Senior Girls 100 and 200 metres won the Best Female Athlete.
Natabua team captain Nemani Mudrelagi says that they are ready what come may at the 2019 Coca‑Cola Game next month.

Nemani Mudrelagi of Natabua who won gold in the Senior Boys 100 metres yesterday has won his second gold medal as he won the Senior Boys 200 metres event.
In the Senior Girls 200m final, Salote Baravilala of Jasper won gold.
Pita Tuvusa who is the younger brother of Shane Tuvusa won gold in the Intermediate Boys 200 metres for Natabua High School.
Jasper claimed gold in the intermediate girls and Sub Junior Girls 200m finals.
Four records were broken in the Lautoka/Yasawa Zone.
Tiko Batibasaga of Natabua has set a new record in the Senior Boys Shot put with a distance of 13.92 metres.
The old record was 13.59 metres and was set in 1997.
The second record was broken by Jasper’s Adi Ulamila Matevakatini in the Senior Girls Triple Jump with a jump of 11.12 meters.
The previous record was 11.02 metres.
Leone Varayame of Saint Thomas broke the record in the Sub-Junior Boys Javelin event with a throw of 39.76 metres.
The final record was broken by Faith Kukusei of Jasper in the Sub-Junior Discus event.
