Natabua High, Jasper Williams win Lautoka Athletics Zone

Natabua High School after retaining the Boys Division.

Natabua High School has retained the Boys Division title of the Lautoka Athletics Zone after claiming 41 gold, 21 silver and 10 bronze medals.

Ba Provincial Secondary School came second with 4 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze while Yasawa High School was third with 2 gold and 5 silver.

Jasper Williams High School won the Girls Division with 39 gold, 22 silver and 21 bronze.

Magodro Junior Secondary School came second with 3 gold and 2 bronze while Natabua was third with 2 gold, 11 silver and 6 bronze.

Meanwhile, Natabua’s Shane Tuvusa has been named as the Best Male Athlete after showing great performance in all his events.

Tuvusa won the 100, 200 events and helped his team to win the 4x400 metres event in the Senior Boys division.

Best Female Athlete award went to Kinisimere Bote of Magodro Junior Secondary School.

This is after she won the 1,500 and 3000 metres events in the Open Girls category.

This is also the first year for the Magodro Junior Secondary School to participate in the Lautoka Zone as the school just opened this year.

A total of 37 records were broken in the two day meet.
