The Nasinu soccer team has a strong belief that they will be able to topple Lami this weekend and qualify to play in the Premier competition from the next season.
Nasinu currently has seven points in the Vodafone Senior playoff and just needs a point from the match against Lami to automatically qualify to play in the Premier competition.
It has been a long time coming for Nasinu soccer team as once known as giant killers, Nasinu used to win major soccer tournaments but for the last eight years, they have been playing in the Senior competition.
Nasinu was demoted in 2010.
This is the most closest Nasinu has reached to qualify to play in the top competition and their President, Oniel Chand says Nasinu fans should come out in numbers and help the players bring Nasinu out from the senior level.
Nasinu has players like Nithan Kumar, Nathan Kumar, Joseph Mishra, Nasoni Mereke, Sandeep Nair, Sedrick Dutt, Moses Freddy, Kaushik Kumar and Robert Nair.
They are being coached by their former player Nathan Shivam.
Nasinu will face Lami at 1pm this Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park.
A draw or win will take Nasinu in the Premier competition while a loss will give Lami an opportunity to progress through as they currently have three points.
Lami will have a match remaining against Savusavu who do not have any chance of progressing to the top competition.
