Nasinu Secondary School is on a mission to reclaim the title of the Boys division in the Suva Zone 1 Athletics meet this Friday.
Team Manager Isikeli Kalouniviti says that they are heading to the zone not relying on individual potential but rather team work to get them the win.
The Nasinu boys lost their title to Ratu Sukuna Memorial School last year and Kalouniviti says their girls will also be trying to raise the bar to defeat Suva Zone 1 defending girls champion, Ballentine Memorial School.
He adds that they hope for a gold medal from Adi Vonokula Lagivou of their Senior girls who will be running in the short distance.
Lagivou has in the past two years a gold medalist for Nasinu.
Kalouniviti says that Lagivou will set the standard for both their division and others are expected to rise to that.
Nasinu is fielding 76 girls and 74 boys to this years Suva Zone 1 meet.
The Suva Zone 1 Athletics meet will be held this Friday at the ANZ Stadium.
