Nasilasila and Draunisinukula miss out on selection for Oceania 7s due to injury

Amenoni Nasilasila and Paula Draunisinukula have missed out on being selected for the Oceania 7s because of injury.

This provides a great opportunity for the new players selected in the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team to showcase their talents at the Oceania 7s.

Their performances may also see them being selected in the 2018/2019 squad for the HSBC Sevens Series.

Some of the new players selected in the team are Beniamino Vota, Napoliani Ratu, Ilikena Vuduolo and  Batinisavu Uluiyata.

The Men’s team is pooled with Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands while the Women’s team is pooled with New Zealand, Cook Islands and New Caledonia.

The Oceania 7s will start from Friday at the ANZ Stadium.

Fiji will take on Solomon Islands at 4.57pm Friday and they will then take on PNG at 8.06pm Friday.
