Top Vodafone Flying Fijians lock, Leone Nakarawa is still confident that they can push over the Tier 1 nations in the future.

Nakarawa has been rated as the number one offloader with 22, which puts him two ahead of All Black Sonny Bill Williams.

The leading pair are well ahead of the pack.

After winning the Man of the Match Award against Uruguay, the 27 year old had this to say.

Fiji’s scrum has been a revelation in the tournament, and it was a big factor in their second try. Captain Akapusi Qera was happy as they stood up against the big teams in their pool.

Meanwhile coach John McKee has cleared the air that he is committed to Fiji Rugby after speculation that he is the top contender to replace Eddie Jones as Japanese coach.

McKee adds that they will take out all the positives from the tournament for the next one in 2019.

Fiji produced a patchy performance with their trademark brand of unpredictable and free‑flowing rugby, complemented by tighter defence against Uruguay.

The team will be arriving at the Nadi Airport at 8.30am this Friday. The overseas based players will be flying straight back to their homes from England while the local based players and coaches with the team management will arrive at the Nadi Airport.
