Waisake Naholo’s shocking call-up to the All Blacks 31 member squad last night is something that his family in Nadroumai Village, Nadroga was already expecting.
Naholo’s father Aporosa told Fijivillage that his family was all gathered together last night to wait for the All Blacks announcement.
When asked if Aporosa would be travelling to England to watch his son, he says that he wishes to go but he will be starting his classes again at the South Pacific Bible School tomorrow.
He says they will watch Naholo on their new flat screen TV which Naholo bought for them before the Super Rugby final.
Naholo’s shock inclusion is even making headlines on CNN.
The 24-year-old suffered a small fracture in his fibula bone during his test debut against Argentina six weeks ago.
He will now join other Fijian pace merchants such as Joe Rokocoko and Sitiveni Sivivatu in representing the All Blacks at a World Cup.
The All Blacks play Argentina in their first World Cup match at 3.45am September 21st.
