Fijian born New Zealand wing Waisake Naholo has agreed to a two year deal with Top 14 club Clermont.
Brought up in New Zealand where he won the Under 20 World Cup Sevens title with the “Baby Blacks”, he has won 37 caps at that level for his adopted country.
He will join Clermont from Super Rugby outfit Highlanders for the next two seasons, with an option for a further year, and is set to replace Julien Malzieu who is on his way to Montpellier.
Naholo becomes the third signing for Clermont, who are currently top of the Top 14 table, following South African born fullback Scott Spedding and second row forward Flip Van Der Merwe.
Meanwhile, Naholo will start for the Highlanders when they face the Reds at 6.35pm tomorrow.
