The Nadi soccer team has increased it’s lead on the Rewa Galaxy Premier League table after they edged Nadroga 3-2 at Prince Charles Park this afternoon.
Nadi now has 23 points.
The Jetsetters lead 2-1 and half time when Vuniuci Tiko-mai-mereke and Samuela Drudru scored while Shalvin Singh scored for the Stallions. In the second half Waisake Tabucavu increased Nadi’s lead to 3-1 in the 57th minute while Stallion’s Anish Khem found the net in injury time.
In one other match, played this afternoon, Ba walloped Tailevu Naitasiri 5-0 at Govind Park.
Defender Alvin Singh and striker Malakai Tiwa scored two goals each while Avinesh Suwamy scored a goal for the Men-in-Black. Ba missed a number of goal scoring opportunities.
Tailevu Naitasiri lies at the bottom of the table with only one point and is in danger of relegating from the Premier Division.
