NZ women's 7s team celebrate after wining gold

The New Zealand Women’s 7s team has won the Commonwealth Games 7s Gold Medal after defeating Australia 17-12 in the final.

The Kiwi’s got their revenge after missing out in the Rio Olympics in 2016.

The game was taken to sudden death as both sides were locked at 12-all.

Meanwhile, the England Women’s 7s team won the Bronze Medal after defeating Canada 24-19.

In Netball, the Silver Ferns will leave the Commonwealth Games without a medal after finishing fourth in the Commonwealth Netball competition losing to Jamaica in the Bronze medal match  60‑55.

The Ferns trailed 15‑11 in the first quarter and 29‑27 at the halftime.

New Zealand has missed out on their first ever final and now Australia to take on England for the Gold Medal.

This is Jamaica’s third bronze in Commonwealth Games history.

The Diamonds have settled silver after losing to England 52-51.
