The New Zealand Sevens team will be competing in the Oceania Sevens tournament with the Vodafone Fiji Sevens and ten other teams in the region.
This was after the Federation of Oceania Rugby Unions has released the men’s and women’s draw for the 2014 Oceania Sevens Championship.
The tournaments will be played on October 3rd and 4th alongside the Noosa International 7’s on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
This is also a perfect launch pad for the 2014/2015 IRB HSBC Sevens World Series that will kick off at Gold Coast a week later.
Fiji, third in the 2013 IRB World Sevens Series, will be favourite to top Pool B while the up‑and‑coming American Samoa team will face New Zealand in Pool A.
