The New Zealand 7s team have named their side for the Cape Town 7s with Rocky Khan retained in the side.
The team includes captain Scott Curry, veterans DJ Forbes, Tim Mikelson and Sherwin Stowers and youngsters like Dylan Collier, Johnathan Ruru and Issac Te Temaki.
Co‑coach Scott Waldrom says the Cape Town tournament offered the opportunity to further develop the team's game‑plan and give players important game time.
He says they are continuing to develop the players and new structures this season that will service them better in the future.
He adds this week they have focused on improving their accuracy and understanding of these new structures.
New Zealand is pooled with England, Argentina and Canada.
