With just three rounds away from the Telstra Premiership finals, the NRL Round 22 was a drama‑filled round of injuries.
Penrith will be without their Origin series winning five eighth James Maloney until the first week of the finals after a set of scans revealed serious knee ligament damage.
The 32‑year‑old received a knee injury from their win over the Gold Coast, and will now miss the three remaining club rounds against the Knights, the Warriors and Storm.
Roosters prop Jared Waerea‑Haregreaves is set to miss up to a month after suffering broken ribs in the Roosters' round 22 win over South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Meanwhile, the Roosters, Rabbiitohs, Storm, Panthers and Dragons are on track to making the first five of eight for the finals.
The Round 23 will kick off on Thursday with the Broncos taking on the Rabbitohs at 9.50pm.
On Friday, the Storm will take on the Eels at 9.50pm while the Panthers will take on the Knights at 5pm on Saturaday.
