Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham says his men are good enough to knock off the team he considers the best side in New Zealand.
The Hurricanes are Super Rugby's best team in almost every measurable category and their title defence in the finals begins when they face the Brumbies in Canberra on Friday night.
The Hurricanes lead the competition in points scored, tries scored and clean breaks, while they sit third in metres gained and defenders beaten.
They also set the benchmark in defence having conceded the fewest points this season.
Meanwhile Henry Speight and Tevita Kuridrani are expected to be picked in the Brumbies starting line up this weekend.
The Brumbies will host the Hurricanes at 9.35pm Friday.
In other quarters, the Crusaders will host the Highlanders at 7.35pm Saturday while the Lions will take on the Sharks at 12.30am Sunday. The Chiefs will take on the Stormers at 3am Sunday.
