Waratahs Coach Michael Cheika has been confirmed as the new Wallabies Head Coach.
Cheika has signed a three-year deal to replace Ewen McKenzie and his first assignment will be the Wallabies end of year tour.
Cheika will remain as coach of the Waratahs for just the next Super Rugby season.
Australian Rugby Union CEO Bill Pulver said Cheika was the standout candidate and is the right man to lead the Wallabies to World Cup success next year.
Former Wallaby Nathan Grey has been named as defense coach with Andrew Blades taking up the forwards coaching position.
Cheika has also named his Europe tour squad and it includes Fijian players Tevita Kurudrani and Henry Speight.
