Melbourne lock Dale Finucane admits the Storm have changed part of their preparation leading into tomorrow night's preliminary final against the Broncos in a bid to avoid a repeat of last year's result in the decider.
Expectations remain high for the Storm side to bounce back from heartbreak last season and send halfback Cooper Cronk out a premiership winner in his final games as a Melbourne player.
Despite breezing through the regular season, the Storm were made to work for their two‑point win against the Eels a fortnight ago in their qualifying final.
Meanwhile, the Melbourne Storm are counting on their speedsters Suliasi Vunivalu and Josh Addo Carr, as well as returning fullback Billy Slater to be the difference in this year's NRL finals.
Melbourne Storm will host the Broncos at 9.55pm tomorrow in the first preliminary final while the Roosters will take on the Cowboys at 9.40pm Saturday.
