Mckee eyeing NZ players such as Sevu Reece to join the Flying Fijian training squad

Fiji Airways Flying Fijians Coach, John McKee has not ruled out his interest in trying to get some New Zealand based Super Rugby players including Sevu Reece into the training squad ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

This comes after a noticeable omission of Reece from the wider training group named yesterday as they prepare for the test matches against the Maori All Blacks, the Pacific Nations Cup and the Rugby World Cup.

McKee told FijiVillage that he is having ongoing conversation with Fijian players in Super Rugby teams and Reece is one of those players.

He adds that FRU is hoping that these players will be available in time for the World Cup.

When asked about other players he is speaking to, McKee says that he will not be disclosing any other name for the time being.

Fiji will play the Maori All Blacks on the 13th of July at the ANZ Stadium before playing them on the 20th of July in Auckland.
