The Canadian men’s 7s team will make their World Sevens series debut under new coach Damian McGrath when they face the Vodafone Fiji 7s team tonight.
McGrath has chosen a set of exciting new players for the challenge of trying to end the Fiji 7s team’s winning record since the Olympic Games.
Captain John Moonlight, Adam Zaruba, Harry Jones, Nathan Hirayama and Liam Underwood are some of the series regulars in the team.
The team is also missing a lot of experience with the unavailability of Sean Duke, Nanyak Dala, Phil Mack and Conor Trainor who are focusing on the 15s game.
Canada finished 13th in the World Sevens Series last year.
