The message from Highlanders Coach Aaron Mauger to the Crusaders is “ We can beat anyone ”.

Mauger believes his side will be a danger to anyone especially with Waisake Naholo and Liam Squire back in top form and also Ben Smith set to make a return.

Mauger says these three players have not been on the field at the same time this year.

The Higlanders Coach is also praising his No 10 Josh Ioane who has showcased some accurate tactical kicking this season.

The Highlanders have made the playoffs for the sixth year in a row. They qualified for the top eight with just six wins ‑ the lowest of any qualifying side since the competition went to having eight playoff teams in 2016.

In Round 9 of the regular season, the Crusaders thrashed the Highlanders 43-17.

The Crusaders will take on the Highlanders at 7.35pm Friday at Rugby League Park in Christchurch, the Jaguares will meet the Chiefs in Argentina at 10.05am Saturday, the Hurricanes will meet the Bulls at Wellington Regional Stadium at 7.35pm Saturday while the Brumbies take on the Sharks in the last quarterfinal at 10.05pm Saturday in Canberra.
