It will be a master versus apprentice affair for Fiji Airways Fijian Drua coach Senirusi Seruvakula and Melbourne Rising player Kiti Ratu in the opening match of the National Rugby Championship at Ratu Cakobau Park this Saturday.
Kiti Ratu was coached by Seruvakula in the Fiji Warriors team in 2016.
He then joined the Island Breeze Rugby Plus Program last year where he was part of their Development Team that toured Australia.
After that tour, Ratu played club games in Victoria before being drafted into the Melbourne Rising team.
Seruvakula says he is proud of what Kiti Ratu has achieved and he has the same vision for creating a clear pathway for all the other players in the Drua team.
The Fijian Drua’s first ever win in the NRC was against Melbourne Rising last September.
Fiji Airways Drua will have four home games this season.
They will take on Melbourne Rising in their first home game at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park this Saturday.
The Drua’s other home games will be at Churchill Park against Brisbane City on the 8th of next month, they will again play at Ratu Cakobau Park against NSW Country Eagles on the 29th of next month before taking on the Canberra Vikings at Churchill Park on October 6th.
