Marist Brothers High School is not taking their preparation lightly ahead of their showdown with Cuvu College in the semifinals of the Powerade Super Deans Championship on Saturday.
The Marist U18 side had a training run yesterday at the Sacred Heart Grounds and their U18 Coach, Pena Qalituraga says the boys are giving their best so that they can cope with the might of the boys from Cuvu.
He says the Under 18 side had a training program that started in Term 1.
Ratu Kadavulevu School and Queen Victoria School dominate the Powerade Super Deans Championship semifinal fixtures for this weekend.
The only grade which RKS failed for qualify for the semifinals is the Under 17 grade while QVS has qualified for the Under 14 to Under 17 semifinals.
Marist Brothers High School will also have three teams that will take the field this weekend and that’s in the Under 15, Under 17 and Under 18 grades.
It’s also the same for Lelean Memorial School as they have teams that will compete in the Under 14, Under 15 and Under 16 semifinals.
Three teams in the West are playing in the semifinals.
They are Natabua High School in the Under 16 grade and Ratu Navula College who has qualified for the Under 17 and Under 18 semifinals and Cuvu College who will compete in the Under 18 grade.
In the Under 18 semifinals, Cuvu College will take on Marist Brothers High School at 2.30pm while defending champion Ratu Kadavulevu School will take on western giant Ratu Navula College at 4pm this Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
