Marist U18 counting each game as a final ahead of QVS clash in Deans quarters

Southern Zone Under 18 rugby defending champion Marist Brothers High School will be going for another shot at the Powerade Super Rugby Deans title after they fail to win in 2016 and 2017.

In 2016 and 2017, the boys from Flagstaff reached the final but fell short to Ratu Kadavulevu School and Queen Victoria School respectively.

Last year they were bundled out of the quarter finals losing to RKS 10-7 in a tough contest.

Marist last won the Deans 40 years ago where they drew with RKS in 1978.

This weekend they will be counting each game as final and they will be facing QVS in what expected to be a thrilling encounter at 12.25pm Saturday.

In other Under 18 quarters, Cuvu College will take on Lelean Memorial School at 10.50am, John Wesley College will take on Ratu Navula College at 3pm while RKS will face Nasinu Secondary School at 4.30pm.

All games will be played at the ANZ Stadium.
