Marist, John Wesley and Nasinu carry hopes for Southern Zone

Marist Brothers High School, John Wesley College and Nasinu Secondary School will be carrying the hopes of the Southern Zone Secondary School rugby in this weekend’s Coke Zero Deans quarter finals.

Marist has won the Deans Trophy on four occasions and drawn twice. They first won in 1965.

The other Southern Zone schools that have won the trophy are Latter Day Saints College in 1986, Nasinu Teachers' College in 1950 and Suva Grammar School having won the trophy in 2001 and drew with RKS in 2005.

John Wesley College have not won the trophy and their best performance so far was their game against Ratu Navula College in last years quarters.

Marist will take on Queen Victoria School at 1.30pm this Saturday and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station Viti FM.

In other quarter final matches, Nasinu Secondary School will face RKS at 10.50am,  Ratu Navula College will take on John Wesley College at 12.10pm while Lelean will take on Cuvu College at 2.50pm.
