Failure is an opportunity to grow and should not be a limit to anyone’s ability.
This was stressed by Australian Registered Psychologist Krishneel Maharaj at a Team Fiji Workshop held at the Holiday Inn in Suva.
Maharaj encouraged athletes to always appreciate failure and recognize the impact to grow from being on the sideline and not to define their potential on their body type.
He told coaches and team managers present at the workshop to always believe that people can change despite constant failure as it is a pathway for growth.
Fiji Netball Coach Vicki Wilson has also suggested that sporting bodies in Fiji should include strategies that will help improve players involvement in sports, including paying for their fare to training if they show consistent involvement.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games will be held in Gold Coast between the 4th and 15th of April, 2018.
