MBHS granted win over QVS despite draw in U18 Deans quarters

Two upsets have been created in the Powerade Super Deans Championship Under 18 quarterfinals today with Cuvu College and Marist Brothers High School booking their spot in the semi‑finals next weekend.

Cuvu College upset Eastern Zone runner‑up Lelean Memorial School 20‑14 in the first quarterfinal while Marist beat Queen Victoria School in sudden death after both teams were locked at 5‑all.

With no points scored in the extra time, Marist was aware that they have made it through as they scored the first try.

The third quarterfinal will be between Ratu Navula College and John Wesley College at 3pm while RKS will face Nasinu Secondary School at 4.30pm.
