Marist Brothers High School students, teachers and parents farewelled their late Assistant Principal and under 18 rugby coach Eroni Vereivalu at Lambert Hall in the last hour.
The pall bearers were some under 17 and 18 rugby players.
The students took part in a solemn and moving church service.
Vereivalu will also be taken to Assemblies of God High School this afternoon before his body is taken to his home in Cunningham.
The funeral service will start at 10am tomorrow at Calvary Temple in Samabula.
Vereivalu passed away at CWM Hospital last Wednesday.
He was appointed as coach for the Fiji under-18 and under-20 teams for the Junior Rugby World Cup in 2009.
His last appointment with the Fiji Rugby Union was as assistant coach for the Telecom Fiji Warriors in this year’s Pacific Rugby Cup.
Vereivalu was also the former coach of the Assemblies of God High School under-18 side and guided them to their first ever Deans semifinals.
