MBHS and SJSS win Suva Zone 2 titles

Marist Brothers High School and Saint Joseph Secondary School have won the Suva Zone 2 this year

Marist Brothers High School and Saint Joseph's Secondary School have won the Suva Zone 2 this year.

In the Boys Division Marist Brothers High School won 32 Gold, 26 Silver and 16 Bronze, while Suva Grammar School came in second place with 16 Gold,13 Silver and 11 Bronze while Nabua Secondary School came in third place with 1 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze.

In the Girls Division Saint Joseph's Secondary School won 23 Gold, 11 Silver and 12 Bronze, while Suva Grammar School came in second place with 11 Gold, 13 Silver and 12 Bronze while Beqa Yanuca Secondary School came in third place with 3 Gold, 6 Silver and 1 Bronze.

Joseva Tabakaucoro has finished first in the Suva Zone 2 Inter Boys 100m event with a manual time of 10.68s, Marika Biuvanua was second with a time of 11.05sec while Malasebe of Tuvusa of Suva Grammar School clocked a time of 11.54sec to finish in third place.

Tony Lemeki of Marist clocked a time of 10.60sec to finish first palce in the Snr boys 100m, Keasi Naidroka of Marist clocked a time of 10.80s to finish second while Samuela Tamanivalu also of Marist Brothers High School clocked a time of 11.43sec to finish in third.

In the Senior girls 100m Suliana Vetanivula of Suva Grammar finished first with a time of 13.99sec, Semaema Bainivalu of Suva Grammar finished second clocking 13.55sec, while Nanise Raiyawa of Saint Joseph’s Secondary School finished third with a time of 13.89sec.

Joseva Tabakaucoro has broken the Suva Zone 2 Inter Boys 200m record with a new time of 21.87sec, the previous record held by Waisale Loga of Suva Grammar School that was set in 2007.

Meanwhile the Coca-Cola Games will be held from the 20th to the 22nd of next month.
