Vodafone Fiji 7s captain Osea Kolinisau hopes they can bounce back in Sydney after a disappointing finish in Wellington.
Following the disappointing performance against South Africa, Kolinisau is confident they can turn it around this weekend.
Kolinisau says they got tricked into the way they wanted to play and did not get the ball wide enough to Savenaca Rawaca.
He also admitted that they spent most of the time defending and gave credit to South Africa for their win as they had a good game plan and executed it well.
Kolinisau says losing to South Africa by a very big margin was a big wake up call for the players and they have learnt from it.
Fiji will face Argentina, Samoa and France in Pool C.
Kolinisau is expecting a tough pool as the French knocked Fiji out of the Cup quarter finals in Cape Town.
Coach Ben Ryan will announce his 12 players this morning.
Fiji will take on Samoa at 12pm tomorrow in their first pool game.
Fiji takes on France at 3.18pm and their final pool game is against Argentina at 7.21pm tomorrow.
The Cup quarter‑finals start at 12.35pm Sunday, the semis start at 4.57pm and the final kicks off at 8.04pm Sunday.
