A lot is at stake for players in the 14 local teams that will be participating at the Mana Whey Fiji Coral Coast 7s as they will also want to prove themselves to Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Gareth Baber.
Baber has narrowed his squad and has released some players to play for their clubs but believes there are some hidden talent out there.
Coral Coast 7s founder Jay White says the level of competition this year will go up another level as players would want to prove themselves and earn a spot in the national 7s side for the Commonwealth Games and World Cup.
The Mana Whey Fiji Coral Coast 7s will start on Wednesday and will end on Saturday at Lawaqa Park.
