Vodafone Flying Fijians coach John McKee believes the introduction of local front row to the Northern Tour is a plus for rugby development in Fiji.
The front row players are Mesake Doge, Joeli Veitayaki, Peni Ravai and Jale Sassen.
Ravai who was part of the Rugby World Cup squad last year says this is a big step for the local players ahead of the tour.
Ravai who has also secured a contract in France says he is looking forward to meeting the English team after their RWC opening match last year.
Meanwhile McKee says Akapusi Qera will captain the side.
The local players will fly out at 9am today at the Nadi International Airport where they will meet with the Europe-based players next Monday in Toulouse, France.
The Vodafone Flying Fijians will play the Barbarians on November 12th, England on the 19th and Japan on the 26th.
