“A storm is coming to Auckland”.
That is how the travelling army in support of the British and Irish Lions describes their presence in Auckland as they look forward to an upset against the All Blacks this Saturday.
They reckon there will be a storm when their team take on the back‑to‑back champions of the world, and beat them in their own backyard.
The starting XV Warren Gatland named last night for the first test could never have been predicted, even when the Lions arrived three weeks ago.
Hooker Jamie George has never started an international for England, while _Worcester centre Ben Te’o, a New Zealander by birth has done so only once.
The war of words has also continued from the two coaches with Steve Hansen telling the Lions coach Warren Gatland to focus on his team and hope that they will cross the try line.
The All Blacks will host the British and Irish Lions at 7.35pm Saturday at Eden Park.
