The Queensland Rugby Union has confirmed Liam Gill will depart the Reds at the end of the season to take up a contract in France, which is understood to be with Toulon.
Gill is in his sixth season with the Reds, after making his debut in 2011.
He has played 65 games for Queensland in that time, as well as 15 Tests for the Wallabies.
The Reds will play the Waratahs on the 27th of this month in their first match of the Super Rugby.
Meanwhile, Fiji born centre Tevita Kuridrani scored the last try for the Brumbies last night to beat the Reds 31-18 in their preseason match.
In the other preseason matches yesterday, the Chiefs beat the Waratahs 17-12.
