The Lelean Memorial School ruggers will head into this weekends Powerade Super Deans Championship semifinals with a heavy heart after the passing of their Under 17 winger Pita Volau on Sunday.
He passed away after an illness.
Volau did not feature for Lelean last week or in any games this year but he was part of the U16 grade last year.
Volau will be laid to rest this Friday as his team head into the semifinals against Ratu Navula College.
This will be a memorable and emotional moment for the Lelean family as they will remember Volau and his family in this difficult time.
The other teams from Lelean that will feature at this weekend's semi‑finals include their Under 14, 15 and Under 19.
The Deans semifinals will be held this Saturday with the Under 18 fixtures to feature Cuvu College against Marist Brothers High School while defending champion Ratu Kadavulevu School will take on western giant Ratu Navula College.
