English Premier League football champions Chelsea endured a third successive goalless draw as they were held at home by 10‑man Leicester City this morning.
Antonio Conte's side had drawn 0‑0 in two cup games before today's return to the league and were still unable to force a breakthrough after Leicester went down to 10 men when defender Ben Chilwell was booked twice in the second half.
In other matches this morning, Tottenham thrashed Everton 4-0, West Brom defeated Brighton 2-0, Watford drew 2-all with Southampton, Swansea and Newcastle drew 1-all, West Ham defeated Huddersfield 4-1, while Crystal Palace beat Burnley 1-0.
