The Lautoka Soccer team has been thrashed 6-nil by Team Wellington in the first leg of the OFC Champions League final.
Wellington was dominant in both halves of the match where the first goal was scored by Roy Kayara in the 16th minute of the first half.
Lautoka’s Keeper Beniamino Mateinaqara managed to save many goals throughout the match while Praneel Naidu got a red card.
Lautoka Coach Kamal Swamy says they were not expecting this score and team Wellington turned out to be the better team today.

Team Wellington Coach Jose Figueira says he is delighted with the result that the team has achieved.
He says there is a second game to play and they now have perform the same way to maintain the high results.
Figueira says they are looking forward to coming to Fiji next week.
Team Wellington just needs a draw in the next leg of the final to win the OFC Champions League while Lautoka will need to score more than 6 goals and also have to stop Team Wellington from scoring any goals to win the competition.
The second leg of the OFC Champions League final match will be played at 3pm next Sunday at Churchill park in Lautoka.
