Hurricanes blockbusting midfielder Ngani Laumape has been added to the All Blacks squad preparing to face Ireland in Dublin this weekend.
Coach Steve Hansen confirmed on the squad's arrival in the Irish capital city that Laumape had been invited to join the squad after Sonny Bill Williams suffered a shoulder injury in the 16‑15 victory over England in London yesterday.
25‑year‑old Laumape has played nine tests for the All Blacks and most recently featured with a hat‑trick of tries in the 69‑31 victory over Japan in Tokyo.
Williams was forced to retire in the 30th minute of the test at Twickenham with a grade one AC shoulder injury, and after the bruising encounter Hansen said the big midfielder could be unavailable for the remainder of the tour.
