Lami defeated Savusavu 5-2 in the Vodafone Senior Playoff this afternoon at the Fiji Football Academy Grounds.
The win means Lami now has three points after two matches while Savusavu is yet to register a point after two matches.
France Catarogo scored twice while Ashish Chand, Taniela Rarariva and Isikeli Ratucava scored a goal each for Lami.
Nasinu leads the points table with six points after two matches and will face Savusavu at 3pm this Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park in its second match.
A win for Nasinu on Sunday will mean they will get very close to securing an automatic qualification to the premier competition.
With a win against Savusavu on Sunday, Nasinu will just need a draw against Lami in its last game to get the green light.
