Labasa works on finishing ahead of BOG semifinal against Rewa

The Labasa soccer team is trying to adapt to different systems that will enable them to beat Rewa in their Inkk Mobile BOG semifinal tonight.

Coach Gurjit Singh says one of the areas they are working on is their finishing as in their last pool match against Nadi they had missed some good goal scoring opportunities.

Labasa is the only team that won all of their games in the pool matches and with players such as Anish Khem, Antonio Tuivuna, Taniela Waqa, Edwin Sahayam, Nickel Chand and Akuila Mataisuva they are one of the favorites to win the BOG title.

Meanwhile Rewa will be boosted by the return of top right defender Vuniuci Tikomaimereke who has served his one match suspension and tireless midfielder, Madhwan Goundar has been declared fit to play after he had collapsed straight after the match against Ba at Subrail Park last Friday night.

Rewa will host Labasa at 7.30 tonight at Ratu Cakobau Park while Lautoka will host Nadi at 3pm tomorrow at Churchill Park.

The final will be played at 2.30pm Sunday at Chruchill Park and you can catch the live commentaries of the three matches on Radio Sargam.
