Labasa becomes first team to qualify for 2018 BOG SFs after beating Tavua 5-0

Labasa has become the first team to qualify for the 2018 Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants semi finals after they defeated Tavua 5-nil in their final pool match.

The Babasiga Lions now have 6 points and are 4 goals ahead of Lautoka.

Dreketi is now out of the tournament.

Labasa’s goals were scored by Antonio Tuivuna, Christoper Wasasala, Ilaisa Nayasi, Ashneel Raju and Ilisoni Logaivou.

Speaking to Fijivillage, Labasa Coach, Anand Sami says players need to work very hard to reach the final.

Meanwhile, the match between Suva and Nadi is currently underway with Suva leading 2-0.

Suva needs to win this game to progress to the semifinal.

Nadi can afford a 4-0 loss to Suva to qualify into the semi final.

Onto the last game of today, Lautoka needs to defeat Ba by 4 clear goals to book a spot in the semi final.

Ba is in a comfortable place as they can lose to Lautoka by 3-0 and will still qualify for the semi final.
