The Labasa soccer team has started its 2016 Vodafone Premier League campaign on a high note thrashing Dreketi 6-0 at Subrail Park this afternoon.
New Labasa coach Johan Leewai said it was a marvelous win as this was his first win as the new Labasa coach.
Labasa scored four goals in the first half and Leewai said Dreketi changed their game plan in the second half and started playing long balls which made it difficult for them to score more goals.
Gabriel Matanisiga scored two goals while Pita Bolaitoga, Ashnil Raju, Christopher Wasasala and Ravinesh Karan Singh scored a goal each.
Meanwhile, Ba has made a great comeback to be beat Lautoka 3-1 at Govind Park.
Lautoka was leading 1-0 in the first half through a Valerio Nawatu goal but Ba bounced back with goals from Junior Narendra Rao, Avinesh Suwamy and Malakai Tiwa.
