Labasa-Rewa, Suva-Nadi in Fiji FACT semifinals

The semi finals of the 2017 Vodafone Fiji FACT has been confirmed.

Rewa will play Labasa while Nadi will play Suva.

Rewa qualified for the semi finals after drawing their final pool game against Suva 0-0.

Rewa coach , Marika Rodu says the game against Suva was a tough one and now they will prepare for the game against Labasa.

Suva who had already qualified for the semifinals yesterday, displayed good football and created numerous chances but failed to find the back of the net.

Suva coach Nathan Shivam says his young players have been brilliant in this tournament and they have proven themselves.

The Labasa soccer team defeated the defending champions Nadi 1-0 to qualify for the semifinals as pool winners from Pool A.

Edwin Sahayam scored the lone goal of the match.

Labasa coach Roneel Lal says it was their players effort that they were able to come out as pool winners.

Lal says they have played according to their game plan and will now prepare for the semis.

He has thanked the Labasa fans for their support and has asked them for their patience as they will deliver.

Nadi soccer president Javed Ahmed says he is proud of the boys as they have been building up young players.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Fa wants to have the semifinals and the final at Ratu Cakobau Park.

In matches earlier today, Lautoka thrashed Rakiraki 10-1 while Ba beat Dreketi 3-0.
