Kurt Baker and Luke Masirewa will join the New Zealand 7s team at the Vancouver 7s

Kurt Baker and Luke Masirewa have made their way to Vancouver to join the New Zealand Sevens squad ahead of this weekend's Vancouver Sevens.

Baker and Masirewa have replaced Tim Mikkelson (ribs) and Vilimoni Koroi (knee) who were injured in Las Vegas where New Zealand finished in fifth place.

Both players have returned home while Baker and Masirewa trained with the team yesterday.

New Zealand coach Greig Laidlaw will finalise his team for the tournament on Friday. New Zealand is pooled with Scotland, Russia and South Africa.

Meanwhile, Fiji will play Spain in their first pool match at 6.36am Sunday, they will then face France at 10.08am Sunday before taking on Kenya at 1.40pm Sunday.

The quarterfinals will start at 7.08am next Monday, semifinals at 11.08am next Monday while the final will be played at 2.19pm next Monday.
