Roy Krishna won the Sportsman of the Year Award at the Wellington Sports Awards last night.
Krishna who has confirmed his departure from Wellington Phoenix to play with Indian Super League club ATK was nominated alongside Hurricanes and All Blacks halfback TJ Perenara, Storm NRL forward Nelson Asofa‑Solomona and top amateur golfer Daniel Hillier.

The awards period spanned from April 17, 2018, to April 17 this year.
Krishna is also the A‑League’s best player this season after getting the Johnny Warren award.
He had also claimed the top prize at the Wellington Phoenix end‑of‑season awards.
Krishna won three awards, including the Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year and the club's 'Golden Boot' award for scoring 18 goals last season.
