Wellington Phoenix striker Roy Krishna scores one of his goals against Sydney FC

Fiji soccer sensation, Roy Krishna scored twice as his Wellington Phoenix side stunned defending premiers Sydney FC with a dominant 3-1 away victory in the A-League.

Roy Krishna scored a first‑half brace, before Steven Taylor added another in an all‑action first‑half.

Wellington opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Sapreet Singh played one of the best through balls of the season, curling a 30‑metre pass to send Krishna through on goal, who made no mistake with his finish low past the goalkeeper.

Krishna scored his second goal in the 30th minute who beat a defender before firing through Sydney’s goalkeeper who got a touch on the ball but could not keep it out of his net.

Krishna succumbed to an apparent hamstring injury in the 59th minute and was replaced.

The Phoenix are now into the top six teams.
