Koroibete stands by Folau after controversial comments regarding gay people

Fijian Wallabies wing Marika Koroibete is standing by Israel Folau posting on Instagram over the weekend “we stand with #Israel Folau“.

Folau has been hit with heavy criticism after making controversial comments about gay people.

Koroibete also quoted the bible verse John 15:18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first”

Folau has also received support from Waratahs and Wallabies teammate Curtis Rona who also posted "We stand with #IsraelFolau" on his Instagram account.

Folau is due back in three weeks after tearing his hamstring in the Waratahs' win over the Brumbies a fortnight ago.
