Osea Kolinisau captained the first Vodafone Fiji Sevens team to win the Dubai 7s for the 2013–14 Sevens World Series and this time around he is hoping that history will repeat itself next week.
Kolinisau says having a good start in the series is always important, but this will all depend on teamwork and their execution on the field.
He says it will be an exciting tournament with the inclusion of some new players.
The 30‑year‑old is also cherishing this as a special moment for his rugby career.
The Fiji men’s and women’s sevens teams will leave for Dubai at 4.30 this afternoon.
Vodafone Fiji Sevens coach, Ben Ryan is already in Dubai.
Fiji will meet Canada in their first pool match of the Dubai 7s at 6 pm next Friday.
They will then take on Japan at 9 pm next Friday before facing Argentina at 3.28am next Saturday.
South Africa is the defending champion of the Dubai 7s.
