The Southern Kings hammered the Melbourne Rebels 44‑3 in Port Elizabeth last night to notch their second Australian scalp in as many weeks.
A week after upsetting the Waratahs in Sydney, the Kings were far too good for the Rebels.
With both sides on the chopping block as the competition drops from 18 to 15 teams next season, the Kings ran in six tries to none in the romp.
In other matches, the Crusaders defeated the Cheetahs 48‑21, the Chiefs edged the Sunwolves 27-20, the Waratahs beat the Reds 29-26, the Lions defeated the Force 24-15, on Friday night the Highlanders defeated the Stormers 57-14.
The Sharks defeated the Jaguares 30-25 this morning, while the Blues will meet the Brumbies at 6.05 tonight.
