Katonibau will not be considered for the London and Paris 7s

Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s veteran forward Isake Katonibau will not be considered for the London and Paris 7s.

Coach Gareth Baber confirms that Katonibau will not be considered for the last leg due to personal commitments and will join the squad again for World Cup preparations.

Fijivillage understands that Terio Tamani and Keponi Paul were also dropped as they did not travel with the team yesterday.

The Fiji 7s squad is expected to be announced later this week.

Meanwhile Fiji failed to qualify for the main quarter finals last year in the London 7s when they lost to New Zealand and Canada in their pool matches.

Fiji is pooled again with New Zealand, defending champions Scotland and Argentina in Pool A.

The London 7s kicks off next Saturday.
