Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s captain Kalione Nasoko will remain as captain for the national team going into the Las Vegas and Vancouver 7s early next month.
This has been confirmed by National 7s Coach, Gareth Baber saying that Nasoko has done well as far as his leadership in the team is concerned.
Baber made it clear that Nasoko is the type of person that admits to his mistakes which is something great about him.
Nasoko pleaded guilty on Monday to a charge of driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol in the Nadi Magistrates Court.
Meanwhile, Baber says they are trying to get to a level of consistency in a high pace game that they have shown they can play.
He says he is excited about the speed of movement that his witnessing when they are on top of their fitness level, and the intensity the players have been showing at training.
Baber will be naming his 13 players for Las Vegas and Vancouver today.
Fiji will face Scotland in their first match of Las Vegas 7s at 11.22am next Saturday, they will then face Wales at 2.23pm on the same day.
They will then face Australia at 7.52am next Sunday.
The Cup quarterfinals will start at 1.46pm next Sunday, semifinals will start at 9.12am Monday the 4th of next month and the Cup final will kick off at 12.30pm Monday the 4th of next month.
