The Kadavu Provincial Secondary School athletics team received a huge boost from Digicel Fiji today ahead of the Coca-Cola Games.
The Digicel staff presented food supplies at their accommodation at the Nabua Church hall this afternoon and will be providing transportation to the athletes from tomorrow to Saturday.
Digicel Fiji CEO, Michael Greig says it is a privilege to be able to support the young athletes from Kadavu who were badly affected by the recent Tropical Cyclone Keni with many families are still trying to recover from the damages.
Kadavu Provincial Secondary Athletics Welfare manager, Rosi Naivota says this has provided the much-needed boost and encouragement they needed after going through the cyclone.
Naivota adds that they have a total of 14 athletes participating this weekend.
The Coca-Cola Games will be held from Thursday to Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
